Nortada (North Winds) it's a typical portuguese phenomenon, particularly found in the country's northern beaches. In Leça da Palmeira that's not an exception, however it's residents welcome it willingly. In this area is located the region's sea port of Leixões and the oil refinery of Matosinhos, two of the most important infrastructures of the country. It can also be found various housing complexes, community gardens and plantations, commerce, leisure zones and the beach bathing zone.

This work explores the coexistence of the human presence with the neighbouring industry through landscape and architecture photography.
